Data Catalog Vocabulary/RDFa in data.australia.gov.au

From W3C eGovernment Wiki
Jump to: navigation, search

data.australia.gov.au embeds RDF description in the HTML page of each dataset using RDFa.

Most of the terms come from Dublin Core (some, apparently only jurisdiction, come from AGLS - similar to dcterms vocabulary, provided by National Archives of Australia)

Creative Commons vocabulary is used for license.

Interestingly, description of the actual location and format of the data is provided. However, it is not linked to the dataset description.

RDF is also available as RSS 1.0 feed for the 10 most recently-added datasets for the whole catalog (http://data.australia.gov.au/feed/rdf) and for a specific category e.g. geography (http://data.australia.gov.au/catalogue/feed/geography/rdf)

RSS feeds are linked to in the HTML using link tag with rel="alternate" e.g.
