History

Within OntoLex-FrAC, we began discussing representing multimodal content in machine-readable dictionaries in early 2020 and designed the OntoLex-FrAC vocabulary to be applicable to attestations of non-textual contents. Within the COST Action Nexus Linguarum, these activities evolved towards a general discussion of multimodal language resources in a separate series of telcos as of autumn 2020. The scope of these telcos is still under discussion, aspects of multimodality in lexical resources will likely lead to a designated OntoLex module.
