Visualization of Energy Management System (EMS) data
Appearance
- Title: Visualization of Energy Management System (EMS) data
- Description: The objective is to obtain real time and historical data from the different EMS, and provide added-value processed reports on technical metrics and KPIs with different granularities for the local municipalities e.g., KWh consumed and produced, per m2, per person; etc. It depends strongly on the equipment and monitoring and control systems currently installed in an EMS. This includes the visualization on the map of the facilities of the State of functioning of the different elements and monitoring of the evolution of some of the energy indicators, the visualization of the scheduling and strategies available in the system and the systems situations or incidents. The requirement of data visualization in airport is sub-monitoring at a higher resolution and deeper level of detail, closer to end use energy consumption (e.g. HVAC air handling units and components, lighting for specific indoor or outdoor spaces or other equipment electrical/thermal consumption).
- Data Domain(s): Building Control, Energy, Device, Building Product
- Objectives: Automatic generation of reports on technical metrics and KPIs with different granularities
- Stakeholders: Energy Manager/Auditor, Municipalities , Building/Facility Owner, Occupants, Other third parties: ESCOs, DSOs, etc.
- Requirements:
- The system has the capability to retrieve information (historic and in real time).
- The EMSs has a database with historic and real-time data, or at least the capability to deploy one.
- Access to data of several different EMS.
- LD benefits: Structured vocabularies allow data integration that further enable interfacing with different EMSs.
- Challenges: Information not available due to: 1) Lack of connectivity, 2) Lack of information stored
- Data is Processed during BLC Stage: Operation
- Uses Data Generated During BLC Stage: Category:Planning and Design, Operation, Retrofitting/Refurbishment/Reconfiguration
- Data Standards Used: IFC, SUMO, Common Information Model
