- Title: Support of Self-Organizing Energy-Efficient District Projects
- Description: This use case is developed by the project Proficient. The project develops business opportunities for SMEs in the construction sector by exploiting the emerging process of Collective Self-Organised (CSO) housing for constructing and retrofitting energy-efficient residential districts. Part of this development will be a Semantic Web collaboration platform.
- Data Domain(s): Building Products, Building Devices, Building Control, Building Data, Energy, Geolocation and Weather
- Objectives:
- Develop new SME network business model for Collective Self-Organised (CSO) housing
- Elaborate financial, regulatory and ICT tool sets to support SME network business models in the energy-efficient, CSO, housing market. Part of this development is the Semantic Web collaboration platform. This includes the use of the Concept Modelling Ontology to enable parametric online configurators.
- Generate new process models of collective-self organised construction and the retrofit of energy-efficient districts
- Stakeholders: Building/Facility Owner, Architect, Operations Manager, Energy Manager/Auditor, Facility Manager, Engineer HVAC, Engineer Building Energy Management System, Engineer Automation, Engineer HVAC
- Requirements:
- LD benefits:
- Challenges: Enable SMEs to operate, in flexible collaboration with the end-users, on multiple network levels across the EU to jointly develop and implement integrated solutions, and to provide the end-users with a greater certainty of total cost of ownership and lifecycle performance.
