From Kevin White:

The purpose of the sort links are not clear from their link text (http://w3.org/brief/NDA1) and sort direction may not be apparent.
Suggestion: Change the link text to be ‘Sort by name’, ‘Sort by organization’. Consider making the icon that shows sort direction into an image with appropriate alternative text.

The up/down arrows are a background image sprite. We can add easily an alt text unless we make it part of the markup but that would make a lot of http requests every time you click the link.

Suggest we use title attribute to complement the existing visual cue. The title can be updated by javascript to indicate current sort order.
Also, the title can say "Sort groups by title".

Note to Sorin: Do the same thing on other pages with filters, including reports with title text saying "Sort reports by title", etc.

Also, all words in link text lowercase other than Sort.
