Doug observes that if you show someone a URI for a proposed group, and the group has been approved, the proposed URI no longer works. Can we either send around the likely URI if the group is approved or forward people to the approved group home page?

Ted idea for an algo:
* does group exist in file system? If so, redirect to that group.
* otherwise let it "go through"

We note that this would not handle rejected groups.

#fragment is not available server side only within browser. A solution would have to be written in javascript that looks for missing fragment and then provoke a redirection. A missing fragment might not map to a created group and result in 404 unless there is a complimentary server side piece or the js checks before redirecting. Page will be rendered or in the process of rendering when the redirect kicks in.

Ian added prose:

If you are looking for a proposed group and it’s not on this page, it may already have sufficient support; check <a href...>the current groups.
