Success Criteria

1.8.1 Highlight Viewport: The user can have the viewport with the input focus be highlighted. (Level A)

Tests

Test Procedure 1

  1. If the user agent does not allow multiple viewports (windows), then select Not Applicable.
  2. Identify methods of customizing windows or viewports. (e.g. by exploring the UI or consulting Help documentation).
  3. Open a test document.
    Sample HTML test document: WCAG
  4. Open another test document. Switch between documents.
  5. Check that there is clear highlighting of the active viewport.

Note: some user agents may require an add-on to accomplish this.

Expected Results 1

  • Check that #5 is true
