Success Criteria

1.8.4 Indicate Viewport Position: The user can determine the viewport's position relative to the full extent of the rendered content. (Level A)

Tests

Test Procedure 1

  1. Open a test document that is sufficiently long to extend beyond the viewport
    Sample HTML test document: WCAG
  2. Move deeper into the document so that you have left the initial visible area.
  3. Check that the scrollbar gives an indication of how much you have advanced into the document compared with the entire document.

Expected Results 1

  • Check that #3 is true
