Process for Creating and Revising SC

From Low Vision Accessibility Task Force
  • Create an issue for each proposed Success Criteria
    • reference the related User Needs
    • use comments for proposing and editing SCs
    • when SC finalized update current table putting SC with all appropriate user needs (same SC may be in multiple user needs)
      • perhaps create new table of SCs with all the user needs met by the SC

Review questions to ask when modifying/creating SC

  1. Is it possible to write an SC for WCAG?
    1. yes - goto 2
    2. no - goto 5 reference WCAG.next in title for issue
  2. is there a WCAG SC that meets the need?
  3. does the SC need to be raised a level (or 2), e.g. from AAA to AA?
  4. does the SC need modification? (modification must meet WCAG Acceptance Criteria)
  5. 5. do we need to create a new SC?
    1. Is the new SC worded as a true/false statement?
    2. Is the new SC a statement of "what is" - when the statement is true? -- then you have met the SC.
