Firefox (Mac) Low Vision Settings
This page documents Firefox 69.0 (Mac) preferences that may pertain to people with low vision.
General Preferences
Language and Appearance
- Fonts and Colors
- Default font (select)
- Size (9-72)
- Advanced (Fonts)
- Fonts for... (select) e.g. Arabic, Latin, etc
- Proportional (select) Serif/San Serif & Size: 9-72
- Serif (Select)
- San Serif (Select)
- Monospace (Select)
- Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of your selections above (Checkbox)
- Colors...
- Text and Background
- Text: (Default black) Choose a color from popup color picker
- Background: (Default white) Choose a color from popup color picker
- Use system colors (Checkbox)
- Override the colors specified by the page with your selections above
- Only with high contrast theme (Default)
- Always
- Never
- Links
- Unvisited Links: (Default blue) Choose a color from popup color picker
- Visited Links: (Default purple) Choose a color from popup color picker
- Underline links (Checkbox)

- Browsing
- Use auto scrolling
- Use smooth scrolling
- Always use the cursor keys to navigate within pages (to a keyboard to navigate within webpages)
- Search for text when you start typing

Zoom (Not in Preferences)
- Use menu button on the right (can adjust from 100 to 300%)
If you find that the max/min zoom level is not sufficient, you can change the zoom limit:
- Type about:config in the Firefox location bar
- Press enter
- Select the "I'll be careful, I promise!" button.
- Find the setting called zoom.maxPercent
- Default value is : 300 (percent). Modify the value to any value higher than 300.
