This test case was created by the ATRC at the University Of Toronto. It should not be construed as required for conformance with the proposed WCAG2.

Test Process

Procedure

  1. If any meta element has an http-equiv attribute value of "refresh" and a content attribute value that is a number then the page will auto-refresh.
  2. If the page will auto-refresh then check if there is an equivalent page that does not auto-refesh.
  3. Check any page that links to the auto-refresh page and check if there is also a link to the page that does not auto-refresh.

Expected Results

  1. Any page that auto-refreshes is expected to have any equivalent page that does not auto-refresh.
  2. Any page that links to the auto-refresh page must also have a link to the equivalent page that does not auto-refresh.

Fail Instructions

  1. Remove or modify the meta element so it does not auto-refresh.
  2. If there is an auto-refresh page then ensure there is an equivalent page that does not auto-refresh.
  3. Ensure that any page linking to the auto-refresh page also has a link to the page that does not auto-refresh.

Pass Instructions

Any accessibility check may be performed after this test.
