WAI develops strategies, guidelines, and resources to make the Web accessible to people with disabilities:
- Operates fully under the W3C consensus process
- Addresses cross-disability requirements including:
visual, hearing, physical, cognitive, & neurological
- Addresses different aspects of the Web including:
Web content, authoring tools, and user agents
- Coordinates with research and development
- Invites international participation and contribution
