W3C SysAdmin Team

People Alexandre Bertails

I am a System and Software Ingineer at the W3C's Systems Team. This is an exceptional group of individuals responsible for W3C's global server infrastructure. We develop and deploy software for W3C's services to the public and supporting standards development with member and public collaborators. We also participate in the open software and internet community.

As the W3C Webmaster, I am in charge of the publication of the Technical Reports and of the site maintenance, in collaboration with the Communication Team. You can find me at the MIT CSAIL office in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Just ask for this door.

I came to W3C in July of 2009 from corporate IT and held positions in an Information technology consulting French company and prior that in a Parisian startup. I am a former student of the Master Parisien de Recherche en Informatique and Telecom ParisTech.

I only use Free Software and my favorite ones are Debian, emacs, Firefox and Thunderbird. I am proficient in many Computer Languages and technologies but my interests lean toward Scala and Semantic Web technologies.

You can find more informations about me on my my personal site.
