< Main Page | FTF June2015
This wiki is an outline for discussion of Web Payments Use Cases, for the June 2015 FTF meeting of the Web Payments Interest Group. Note: "Use Cases" are those scenarios we want to support through standards; capabilities are the (standardized) technology building blocks that provide the support.
Goals
- Examine the Roadmap goals and, for the proposed first version of payment standards, review which use cases will be supported.
- Roadmap Goals
- Payment ecosystem integration: Interoperable support for a simple payment scenario (invoke wallet, invoice, proof of purchase, receipt)
- Identity: Make it easier to satisfy Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements when processing payments and establishing accounts
- Security: Digital signatures, encryption, multi-factor authentication (Note: We should make it very clear that multi-factor is not necessary for success in v1 -- manu)
- Reach consensus on this prioritization.
