Logging Issues from Proposed Element Reform

Should an issue be created to reintroduce the for attribute into the Core attribute collection? for would take an IDREF, and operate much in the manner it did in HTML 4.01 with the important exception that it will not be limited to use with the LABEL element, but be extended to provide a reuse mechanism for (at least) ABBR, Q, D, CITE. A for attribute would also be extremely useful as a means of establishing a relationship between a quote and its source. (Gregory J. Rosmaita, 20 January 2009)
