Task 4.1: Modifications in Current Online MT System
This Task involves preparation of online MT systems to support Task 4.2. Activity for this Task is currently in process.
Deliverables
The deliverables for this Task are in process.
- D4.1.1 Lucy Modification. This deliverable has been completed in February 2013. An initial demonstration limited to the translate and domain metadata categories has already been completed.
- D4.1.2 MaTrEx Modification. This deliverable has been completed in February 2013. The first implementation handling three metadata items was completed in December 2013 with additional items that have been added in January 2013.
- D4.1.3 Linguaserve Online System Modification. This deliverable has been completed in February 2013.
- D4.1.4 Report on Modifications in MT Systems. This deliverable has been delivered as two reports (one on post-editing methodology and one on post-editing training for translation) in February 2013. It will also include a separate report on the outcome of the already-completed EDITA subproject.
Task 4.2: Online MT System Showcase
Work on this Task is currently ongoing and will involve work with the Spanish Tax Agency in a real-world project. This task involves integration of a variety of systems in a single working environment to show that the inclusion of ITS metadata works at the technical level and can deliver benefits for requesters of translation as well as MT service providers. This Task will integrate both heterogenous machine translation systems in a single workflow.

- D4.2.1 Online MT System Linguaserve Showcase.The initial showcase will be held in March 2013 at the Multilingual Web Workshop in Rome. A second demonstration will be delivered in June 2013 along with maintenance versions and Deliverable 4.2.2. In January 2013 the Spanish Tax Agency will begin to introduce ITS 2.0 metadata into their system, with rollout of additional content in the first half of 2013.
- D4.2.2 Report on Online MT System. Work on this deliverable will begin upon completion of Deliverable 4.2.1.
