DOM

There has been a lot of talk about simplifying the SVG DOM, both for ease and consistency of implementation, and to increase the speed and performance of SVG.

The SVG WG has collected its thoughts on several wiki pages:

• interfaces and methods of the SVG 1.1 DOM
• commentary on the current state of implementations
• known issues with the current DOM
• a proposal for a new DOM API
