Description Jeff Fortin 2009-10-05 19:47:58 UTC
The only way I could find to indent/unindent list items is by using the tab and shift+tab keyboard shortcuts, which is not something that is easily discoverable by non-geeks.

The indent/unindent buttons on the sidepane don't seem to work on this purpose (lists).

Amaya is able to manage structure (html) and presentation (css).

If you want to edit the list structure you can:
o Create a sub-list at the current position by clicking the "Bullet list" or
"Numbered list" button in the "Elements" panel.
o To conform with usual word processor User Interfaces, tab and
shift+tab keyboard shortcuts can be used to modify the list structure too.
This is a new feature of Amaya 11.3 snapshot.

If you want to just indent/unindent a list item you have to use the "indent" or "unindent" button in the "Style" panel.
I'm surprised you mention it doesn't work in your case. Could you specify the case that doesn't work?

Aaah, I see now: the reason I thought list indentation was broken or didn't work is because that:

1- there are many visual glitches on the bullet points
-- sometimes they don't appear at all until you deselect
-- sometimes two columns of bullet points appear at the sub-indentation level
2- the resulting bullet points look visually different when you indent with the keyboard shortcuts ("white" empty circles) than when you indent with the sidepane buttons ("black" filled circles).

I'm wondering if:
- problem #2 is just another visual glitch, or if they really behave different
- if there are bugs filed about these problems, or if this bug report should simply be renamed accordingly
