The status popup lists lists tests -- but these are often hosted at personal URLs. Ideally, these should be hosted at the w3c; at a minimum, they should be archived in case the original URLs cease to work.
sent email to jim asking for clarification, so that this bug is more actionable than in it's current state.
No need to do this since you can sync to a past time using Hg.
I'm not sure how the hg repository helps with data that was never *in* the repository. For example, Section 3.3 claims to have 10 tests. When I ask to view them, the first URL is http://ms2ger.freehostia.com/tests/html5/apis-in-html-documents/Element.getAttribute-01.html I think it should be stored at a location under the control of the w3c or whatwg, to minimize the risk of bitrot. -jJ
