The BNF for the XPath expression includes:
[14]   	ValueExpr	   ::=   	 SimpleValue  | ConstructorFunction 

ValueExpr is not mentioned anywhere else in the BNF.

The WG approved a proposal to resolve this issue at its call of 
12 December.
