Description Julia McCarthy 2008-05-22 17:21:42 UTC
The unresolved SML reference definition (4.1.3) talks about recognized reference schemes but the SML Reference definition (4.1.1) doesnt mention reference schemes at all. That is, an SML reference is recognized as null if none of the recognized reference schemes resolves but there is nothing in the 4.1.1 SML reference definition that tells you what a reference scheme might have to do with an SML reference.

This comment is on the LC version and is still relevant as of the editor's draft available on 5/22/2008.

As per 5/22 call, Julia has the action item to come up with a proposal (Action 186)

After discussing this with Ginny, I recommend that we close this bug and resolve it as part of the broader issue identified in 5720.
