This is an archived snapshot of W3C's public bugzilla bug tracker, decommissioned in April 2019. Please see the home page for more details.
The first WD of XQuery 1.1 Use Cases contains references identified as: "Use Case Sample Queries Queries from this document, presented in a single file XQuery Sample Queries Queries from the XQuery document, presented in a single file." Clicking on either of the 2 links in either FF 2.0.0.13 or IE 7 results in the following empty HTML document: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"></HEAD> <BODY><PRE></PRE></BODY></HTML> When I do a "Save As" for either of the links in either browser, I get a zero-byte text file.
These links work for me - I assume we fixed the problem and forgot to close the issue. If you still have this problem, please reopen the issue.
http://www.w3.org/TR/xquery-11-use-cases/#UseCaseQueries links to http://www.w3.org/TR/2008/WD-xquery-11-use-cases-20081203/xquery-use-case-queries.txt which gives me a 404 error page. So that link is broken.
Thank you for reporting this long-standing problem; please accept our apologies for failing to fix the problem in a reasonable period of time. We have (finally) fixed the problem (more accurately, we will fix it some time today) by posting the most recent XQuery 1.1 Use Case queries at http://www.w3.org/TR/2008/WD-xquery-11-use-cases-20080327/xquery-use-case-queries.txt, http://www.w3.org/TR/2008/WD-xquery-11-use-cases-20080711/xquery-use-case-queries.txt, and http://www.w3.org/TR/2008/WD-xquery-11-use-cases-20081203/xquery-use-case-queries.txt and by posting the most recent XQuery 1.1 example queries at http://www.w3.org/TR/2008/WD-xquery-11-use-cases-20080327/xquery-wd-queries.txt (Actually, the last URI does not seem to be working right now, but we expect it to be fixed later today.) If this action satisfies your concerns, we would appreciate you marking this bug report as CLOSED.
Thank you for fixing this.
