In the Microsoft DataTypes tests, test dtZ107447_a_2245, the schema ../msData/datatypes/test107447_a.xsd is claimed to be valid. However, it contains an element of type xs:ID with a fixed value. This violates clause 5 of Schema Component Constraint: Element Declaration Properties Correct.
This test should indeed be invalid. This is due a bug in the packaging process of Microsoft schema tests.

Agreed that these schemas are invalid in 1.0 and should be marked as such. Note that XML Schema 1.1 removes this paternalistic rule, so these schemas will [presumably] become valid.
