Description Michael Kay 2018-02-20 10:45:14 UTC
This error occurs when adding a function item as a child of an element or document node. It should be classified as a type error rather than a dynamic error so that it can be raised statically.

The XQuery equivalent XQTY0105 is a type error.

I agree, seems to make sense.

Would it be possible to rename it? Or is that too much of a change and we only reclassify it in the erratum?
Comment 2 Michael Kay 2018-03-19 01:08:15 UTC
I think we should retain the code, reclassify as a type error, and add a note that the choice of error code is an anomaly caused by the change of classification.

Ok, thanks, I concur (I could go either way but I can relate to making the minimally needed changes to fix it).
