Using Chrome OS, bogus updates were sent/installed. Their site was updated or so they said. What can I do on my chrome to to update it/program it. What am I missing?

If you have access to the Web server environment of https://sso.ameriprise.com or know somebody else who does, you/they can configure that server to send an Access-Control-Allow-Origin header.

But if you don't have access that Web server environment or don't know somebody who does, then you can't get around that error.
