Spec section: https://html.spec.whatwg.org/multipage/rendering.html#replaced-elements

AFAICT, the term "replaced element" is from http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/conform.html#replaced-element , and therefore instances of that term in the HTML spec ought to link-to/reference the CSS2 spec, just like the rest of the jargon from other specs. Folks shouldn't need to figure out this cross-reference manually.
