Description Hayato Ito 2015-06-04 04:09:07 UTC
Let me upstream this bug to HTML from Shadow DOM spec.

https://github.com/w3c/webcomponents/issues/91

Can Document and ShadowRoot share the common interface, LayoutRoot?
Comment 1 Sam Giles 2015-06-25 14:10:31 UTC
Is `LayoutRoot` a sufficiently descriptive name to cover the common interface? There are similarities between the Event model too.
Comment 2 Anne 2015-08-04 09:09:22 UTC
Is this not a question for DOM? Sam makes a good point about events. I wonder what a good term is that combines those aspects.
Comment 3 Anne 2016-03-25 12:54:40 UTC
This was fixed in the DOM Standard through https://github.com/whatwg/dom/commit/418338575c7f79a18d20ebcc88c19834366379cf.

(We still need to start using it in HTML, but there's plenty of open issues on that.)
