Since longdesc is now proceeding toward  Recommendation, it will soon be part of HTML5.  This document should cover its use as well - when appropriate.

Section 1 needs to mention longdesc.

A couple of additional examples should be added to show situations when longdesc might be a good choice.

Example 1.14 could be repurposed to use longdesc.  The alt text is very long.
