Now: 
Using media-independent markup, on the other hand, provides an easy way for documents to be authored in such a way that they work for more users (e.g. text browsers)

Suggestion:
Using media-independent markup, on the other hand, provides an easy way for documents to be authored in such a way that they are "accessible" for more users (e.g. "users of" text browsers)


Comment: Short speak might be nice in some parts of the spec, but here I would prefer a clear statement.
