Specification: http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/multipage/embedded-content.html Multipage: http://www.whatwg.org/C#getting-media-metadata Complete: http://www.whatwg.org/c#getting-media-metadata Referrer: http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/multipage/ Comment: Make "initial playback position" local to the only algorithm that uses it Posted from: 83.218.67.123 User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/38.0.2114.2 Safari/537.36 OPR/25.0.1597.0 (Edition developer)
The initial playback position is only used in the steps for "Once enough of the media data has been fetched to determine the duration of the media resource, its dimensions, and other metadata" It would be clearer to have it locally only. Right now it takes a bit of searching to understand the relationship between initial playback position and the default playback start position.
Yeah, fair enough.
Checked in as WHATWG revision r8803. Check-in comment: Turn the 'initial playback position' into just a variable. https://html5.org/tools/web-apps-tracker?from=8802&to=8803
Looks good, thanks!
