Description Michael Kay 2014-08-06 08:50:31 UTC
Encouraged by mild enthusiasm for the idea expressed "in the corridors" at the F2F, I have written a proposal for a higher-order sort() function, to remedy the omission that XPath currently has no sorting capability.

The proposal can be found here (member-only):

After email discussion, functions fn:sort() and array:sort() have been added to the 3.1 working draft, and the WG decided to accept this as the status quo, while inviting WG members to review and comment on the specs.
