currently only implementd in Firefox, unclear whether the mapping is required as can't find case where link is exposed to user.

link element that creates a hyperlink = link role

Opera used to expose a browser chrome button for <link rel="previous | next | home | etc."> In that case, it'd be rendered natively as a button, not as a link rendered by the UA.

so do you think the current requirement to expose as role=link is unnecessary?
