Description Cullen Jennings 2014-05-18 14:06:56 UTC
Do we want to say more about “on air” than a single sentence. When does it go on? when does it go off? min time to stay on so user can see it ?

This is probably the most important privacy and security feature of this spec.

Washington consensus: There are two indicators:

- Access granted, which is on whenever the script wil get access to devices without asking the user. This is on when a script has stored permissions, and when the script has a device open (after the user has granted one-time access).

When the script releases access (for non-stored permissions, by closing all tracks connected to the device), this indicator goes away.

- Currently capturing, which is on when media is being generated. If all tracks feeding from the device are muted, this indicator is off.
