It would be nice to have a vendor-neutral mechanism by which cloud storage providers (e.g. Dropbox) could hook into <input type=file> controls.

I've seen no interest from browser vendors about this kind of thing, so I'm closing it. Feel free to reopen it if this is something that a browser vendor is going to implement. Anne, I'm cc'ing you because this is something you might care about if you do more work on Web Intents.

Yeah, I want browsers to offer this. But solve something simpler first to get an idea of what we're looking at: https://wiki.whatwg.org/wiki/Sharing
