Description Dimitri Glazkov 2013-08-26 17:53:40 UTC
These parts of Shadow DOM spec had shifted, and we need to keep the explainer in sync.

Hayato, can you help me out with a list of what needs to happen here? For example ::content (was ::distributed) is in the spec, but I think that's deprecated?

Sure.

1. '::content' is not deprecated.

The spec is here: http://w3c.github.io/webcomponents/spec/shadow/#content-pseudo-element

2. Unfortunately, ':host' is not defined in the Shadow DOM spec yet.

The style section in the Shadow DOM spec have to be rewritten. That's one of TODO list on our radar.

Can you reopen this bug when :host is in the spec?

I could also use a list of what you think needs updating, not sure if that was clear from Comment 1.

Sure. I think it is too early to mention ':host' in the explainer.
