This bug relates somewhat to Bug #21439. I think it would be good to point out somewhere in the spec that the longdesc attribute might contain a data URI, and thus that implementations must be prepared to handle data URIs in the longdesc attribute. Justification: * make vendors aware that we expect data URIs to work; * make authors aware that they may use data URIs; * avoid that data URIs only becomes a subject of the repair mechanism propsed in bug 21439.
I already added an example in my local draft :)
