This is an archived snapshot of W3C's public bugzilla bug tracker, decommissioned in April 2019. Please see the home page for more details.
I recently made a blog post that has four different examples on how the main element might be used, and in deciding what elements should go inside and outside of it. The post is here: http://www.iandevlin.com/blog/2013/02/html5/further-examples-on-using-the-main-element Some examples along those lines (or indeed feel free to use the ones that I used) might be useful to aid people in its use.
Waiting for the HTML spec to be editable again...

HTML5.1 Bugzilla Bug Triage: Additional examples added in commit: https://github.com/travisleithead/html/commit/5a372ed718fe94ced2ce99af91c04ec01ec4dd93 Lifted directly from the website with only minor tweaks for length. Thanks! If this resolution is not satisfactory, please copy the relevant bug details/proposal into a new issue at the W3C HTML5 Issue tracker: https://github.com/w3c/html/issues/new where it will be re-triaged. Thanks!
