The expected result of this query was modified, adding whitespace.

I don't think this whitespace should have been added.  Can you please confirm that the expected result is correct.

The commit log shows that O'Neil made this change to address bug #18991, and Tim confirmed that the changes worked.

I have attempted another fix by avoiding the use of assert-xml, with its inevitable dependency on whitespace.
