Clicking on the logo, the "home" link or the "docs" link in the crumb-trail lets the user reach a page where there are recursive links. Any of these three links continue to take the user to the same page. This can present an accessibility issue for some users.

Could you explain a bit more what you mean by “recursive links”? Links to the current page?

Exactly: any link on any page which takes the user back to the same page. I can't quote chapter and verse, but I understand these present an accessibility issue to some users.
