Wherever a username is displayed, it is Title Cased, instead of being output as it was typed (and, hopefully, stored).  As a user, I expect my identity to be portrayed as I intended to portray it -- for example, I much prefer my username to be displayed in all-lowercase "eternicode" rather than the current "Eternicode".

To add more, usernames are required to follow the page naming restrictions. Wikipedia has an article on it:
