This is an archived snapshot of W3C's public bugzilla bug tracker, decommissioned in April 2019. Please see the home page for more details.
When "custom" title is provided, both page-name-as-title value and Page_Title custom value are displayed. 1. Go to http://docs.webplatform.org/wiki/beginners Note that the top section headers are: beginners Web development for beginners 2. Select "edit source" to confirm there is a custom value: Note that the custom value is provided: {{Page_Title|Web development for beginners}} Expected (per http://docs.webplatform.org/wiki/Template:Page_Title): "If title is not provided, it will default to showing the last part of the URL." Actual: last part of the URL AND the custom page title value are displayed.
See 19291 for more context.
*** Bug 19349 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Moving this bug from "content" bucket to "skins" bucket. See 19291: Because MSDN import files do not have {{Page_Title}} in the template, built-in titles were turned on. There were plans to automate "touching" of the MSDN import files, resulting in the inclusion of {{Page_Title}}. Once this is done, we can return to our H1 implementation. This is a request to please drop the default page title implementation after the touching is done.
