Description Alex Komoroske 2012-09-21 23:07:29 UTC
When you try to edit a system message (e.g. http://docs.webplatform.org/w/index.php?title=MediaWiki:Sitenotice&action=edit&redlink=1) you see an error:

Fatal error: Cannot use assign-op operators with overloaded objects nor string offsets in /srv/webplatform/wiki/current/skins/WebPlatform.php on line 88

On the WPD skin.

Switching to another skin temporarily fixes it.

Unsure the pri of being able to edit these messages. Leaving as 2. Infra.

It's fine to drop this priority way lower; we'll do this very rarely and only a few of us will ever have to do it--plus there's a workaround.

I solved this by changing the way tabs are created in translate extension. Translate was not aware that WebPlatform uses the same mechanisms as Vector skin to build tabs and action links.
