Description Alex Komoroske 2012-09-17 18:54:14 UTC
In a few cases we need to hide some details behind an exposable area. Summary/details are perfect for this--but they aren't whitelisted tags in MediaWiki and they also don't work in all browsers. Some cases where this is necessary include the attribution notices at the bottom of content pages and in-line help in the forms to help people understand how best to fill in each form section.

We need a summary/details shim to be loaded that content can be used (e.g. if it has the correct CSS classname).

Sounds like Infra issue. Not sure the pri. Seems moderate.

Nice to have, but not critical. We will try to have by launch or soon after.

Had good luck with Mathias Bynen's polyfill in a production docset:

Filament Group has a non-jQuery one, too, if you guys are still looking. It also accepts a data attribute that controls automatically expanding/collapsing above/below defined breakpoints. https://github.com/filamentgroup/Details
