Description dgermanw3 2012-03-26 22:01:11 UTC
HTML 4 stated:

The HR element causes a horizontal rule to be rendered by visual user agents.

Although (for reasons that are unclear [to me]) all the attributes were deprecated.

This tag is currently in use a visual divider on many pages and is supported in this manner by many user agents.

It seems that the HTML5 specifications still includes the tag makes no mention of a horizontal rule.

Is this an oversight?

If this is posted to the incorrect component,
I would appreciate it if it were moved to the correct one.
Thank you.

Sincerely,
DG12
