the timeout attribute needs to be better described to communicate a sense of its intended purpose; at present, section 4.7.3 only says "The amount of milliseconds a request can take before being terminated." this does not really communicate its intended usage; it would be useful to qualify "being terminated" (e.g., under what circumstances) and also indicate difference in meaning when used with synchronous versus asynchronous requests
