Description Dan Brickley 2003-01-29 05:42:50 UTC
The Debian Linux package builder arranges the installer so that
the .rb files go in the wrong directory. This bug report needs
subsequent edits to include useful info, like the directory names.

I've made some progress to fixing this, just by hard-coding the target
directory differently in
http://www.w3.org/2001/12/rubyrdf/debian/packager/config.save

I am somewhat unclear as to whether it is best to configure once, for all
targets, or to try to configure on each machine during installation. The Fink
packaging approach seems more inclined towards the latter, ie. running an
install script, whereas Debian (as I read things) inclines towards having
common filetree structure for everyone.
