Description Andi Snow-Weaver 2011-07-11 14:13:08 UTC
"In Microsoft UIA, fire the TextChangedEvent, TextSelectionChangedEvent, or PropertyChanged event for the corresponding property. For example, when there is a change to the inner text of an element that supports the Text Control Pattern, fire the TextChangedEvent. For an element that supports the Value Pattern, and maps the inner text to the Value property of the pattern, fire the PropertyChanged event for the Value property."

Informative NOTE: Processing document changes is important regardless of WAI-ARIA. Browsers should implement the events described below for all note changes, to allow AT to be informed of changes to the DOM.

Slight modification to the paragraph to avoid using an RFC keyword without RFC markup:

Processing document changes is important regardless of WAI-ARIA. The events described in the table below are used by user agents to inform AT of changes to the DOM. For the purposes of conformance with this standard, user agents MUST implement the behavior described in this section whenever WAI-ARIA attributes are applied to dynamic content on a Web page.
