Jona, I think you routed this to the wrong wg.  SML has been closed for 10+ months, and at Rec for 16 months+.  I'm not aware of any mention of SMS in any SML document, and nothing about it should be Win-ME specific.

You will need to re-route it to the correct place.  There is no wg doing maintenance on the SML specs, so in its current state this bug will not be addressed by anyone.
