In XSLT 2.0 section 5.4.2 (and similarly for XSLT 2.1) the description of the extensions to the static context for XSLT instructions/functions should include the set of named output definitions, which is referenced by the xsl:result-document instruction (and perhaps in future the serialize() function).
The WG felt that this did not merit an XSLT 2.0 erratum but that the editor was welcome to attempt to improve the specification at his discretion by presenting the set of named output definitions as part of the static context in future versions of the specification.
The obvious place to put this would be in 5.4.2 (Additional static context components). But currently the only context components we list in this section are those that are referenced from within XPath expressions. As we don't seem to be defining a serialize() function that references named output definitions, this doesn't currently apply. So I'm inclined to do nothing, and close this bug as WONTFIX.
