This is an archived snapshot of W3C's public bugzilla bug tracker, decommissioned in April 2019. Please see the home page for more details.
Current HEAD chokes when running with doctype override, regardless of whether the original document is valid or not. Parsing stops with: [[ Line 2, column 18: delimiter """ invalid: only delimiter ">", delimiter "[", "PUBLIC", "SYSTEM" and parameter separators are allowed . <!DOCTYPE PUBLIC "" ]]
Somewhat ugly fix in CVS. TODO: the chosen override is not preserved in the drop-down box in the results page, ie. it's not selected -> changing summary to reflect that.
re-assigning the drop-down issue to me.
Created attachment 384 [details] potential patch to check and relevant template This is a working solution to the problem, but I am not exactly satisfied with it: - it makes the edition of the popup menu tedious - it does not use in any way the validator's catalogue of doctypes - and finally, I am not certain that this popup should be controlled from the localizable templates, because it would make any change particularly annoying once translations have been made (and thus the file replicated a number of time) Still, it's a working solution, and I don't have anything better. yet.
